Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 1, 2026 · Effective date: August 1, 2026
Blue Collar Companion, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“BCC,” “we,” “us”), runs bluecollarcompanion.co, the demo previews at demo.bluecollarcompanion.co, and the client portal at edits.bluecollarcompanion.co (together, the “Sites”). This policy explains what information we collect on the Sites, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain language because that's how we talk.
1. What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out our contact form we collect your business name, industry, city and state, your name, email, phone number, and (optionally) your website address. If you have a client portal account, we store your name, email, and a securely hashed password. If you email or call us, we keep the correspondence.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting providers keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to run and secure the Sites. The client portal sets a login session cookie. That's it — the Sites use no analytics cookies, no advertising trackers, no tracking pixels, and no session-recording tools.
Publicly available business information. To build a demo website preview for a business, we collect publicly available information about that business — its name, logo, photos, services, address, hours, and public ratings — from its own public website and public business listings. We use this only to prepare and show the preview to that business. See our Demo Site Terms for how previews work and how to have one removed.
2. What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by U.S. state privacy laws. We do not track you across other websites, so there is nothing here to opt out of — but if you send a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal anyway, nothing changes, because we already don't track anyone.
3. How we use information
- Respond to your inquiry and show you the demo you asked for
- Provide client services and run the client portal
- Send you email you asked for, and business-to-business outreach you can opt out of with one click
- Operate, secure, and improve the Sites
- Comply with law and enforce our agreements
4. Who we share it with
Only service providers who help us run the business, under their own contractual limits:
| Provider | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Vercel | Website hosting and delivery |
| Neon | Database hosting |
| Resend | Sending email |
| Anthropic | AI processing (e.g., preparing demo content, powering labeled AI chat assistants) |
| Trigger.dev | Background job processing |
| Firecrawl | Retrieving public web pages for demo previews |
| Google Fonts | Font delivery (your browser requests fonts from Google when a page loads) |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or as part of a business transfer (we'd tell you first on this page).
5. Cookies
The only cookies we set are strictly necessary ones: the secure login session for the client portal. No advertising or analytics cookies. Because of that, we don't show a cookie banner — there's nothing to consent to.
6. Your choices and rights
Email us at hello@bluecollarcompanion.co to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to have a demo preview taken down. We honor these requests for everyone, regardless of which state or country you live in, and we'll respond within 30 days (usually much faster). Every marketing email we send has a working unsubscribe link — one click, no login, no fee, processed within 10 business days.
7. How long we keep it
Contact-form submissions and lead records: as long as we're actively in touch with you, plus a reasonable wind-down period. Client records: for the duration of the engagement plus what tax and legal obligations require. Demo preview data: until the preview is removed. You can request deletion sooner at any time (Section 6).
8. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, secrets management, and access limited to the two founders. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously — it's your business information and ours.
9. Children
The Sites are for businesses and their owners — they are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child gave us information, email us and we'll delete it.
10. Visitors from Canada
We comply with PIPEDA's fair-information principles for any personal information of Canadian individuals we handle. Business contact information used to reach you about your business is treated per PIPEDA's business-contact provisions. Quebec residents: our person in charge of the protection of personal information is the Co-Founders, reachable at hello@bluecollarcompanion.co; you may request access, rectification, or cessation of dissemination at that address.
11. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we'll say so prominently at the top of this page for 30 days. We will never apply a material change retroactively without telling you.
